Team Maryland has hosted several events for sponsors and the public to celebrate WaterShed’s progress. At the start of construction just following the delivery of the structural modules, Team Maryland hosted ShedRaising. Sponsors, family, friends, and media from the Baltimore-Washington, DC region joined the team in reaching this milestone and spurred the team on to plunge forward into the construction phase of the project.
On August 15, Team Maryland hosted a Send Off event at the University of Maryland School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation’s Kibel Gallery to celebrate substantial completion of the house and build momentum toward moving the house to the competition site in West Potomac Park. Team Maryland’s events have given students a chance to interact directly with WaterShed’s supporters and share information about the state of the project.
