- John Cartagirone, American Power and Light - a three-time UMD solar decathlon mentor and friend, John worked side by side with the electrical team to wire the house, install light fixtures and entertain the entire team.
- Andrew Caruso, Gensler - Andrew worked with the team on the design and development of several pieces of innovative furniture in partnership with Gensler, Herman Miller and DatesWeiser.
- Chris Cobb, Robert Silman and Associates - a dedicated mentor and friend who worked in partnership with UMD's SD2007 LEAFHouse team, Chris returned to again provide his expertise in the integration of architecture and structural systems.

- Dan Zimmerman, Shapiro & Duncan - A veteran of two decathlons, Dan provided experience and advice to the HVAC and solar thermal teams; facilitated donations,and tech service from Shapiro & Duncan; and provided the engineering team with his can-do perspective on the value of figuring things out through hands-on experience.
The team is guided by a group of dedicated mentors from the building industries. These mentors help students learn about professional practice and the art and science of integrated building design.
