Designing and building WaterShed has taught the student team so much about energy, water, and the built environment and students have been eager to share their new expertise with others. Team Maryland has been actively teaching about sustainability issues at a broad range of venues throughout the Baltimore-Washington, DC region to educate the public about solar energy and water usage. The team has sought out opportunities to talk with professional organizations, schools, and practitioners about these critical issues so WaterShed’s message reaches as broad an audience as possible.
Students have been presenting WaterShed's design concepts to the public throughout the course of the project to educate as many people as possible about solar energy and water usage. These activities have engaged many throughout the Baltimore-Washington, DC corridor.
